What you'll do
Relax and unwind as you get creative and make something unique and functional in Jenie Yolland's glass art workshop for beginners.With small classes, you'll receive one-on-one attention, while you make your very own colourful plate in art glass! With guidance from expert Jenie herself, you'll learn new skills to help you make a piece of fused glass art. No previous experience is required. It's fun and creative here in the studio! You can use any of the colours that are here in my studio on the day of your class. During the workshop you will learn:
- The basic and correct skills required to use glass as an artistic medium
- The fundamentals of glass cutting
- The fabulous potential of glass fusing and slumping
- About art glass and how it performs in the kiln
- The turnaround time for your glass art is usually between 2-3 weeks of the workshop. BTW, it will be kept in my studio for about one month after it's finished and it will be donated to charity after then.
- If you are unwell or need to cancel, contact us and we'll reschedule your class. Of course, there's zero cost for rescheduling.
- If you don't see a time and date that suits you here please message us here on ClassBento so you and I can add a new date that suits you.

Knowledge required
No prior knowledge or experience is required. We tell you everything you need to know and show you what to do!
What you'll get
- All materials used, including your choice from all the colours of glass in my studio
- Use of our studio tools
- Kiln firing of your plate after you leave (usually two kiln firings)
- Forget about the real world for a couple of hours
- Listen to great music (dancing is allowed!)
What to bring
- You don't need to bring anything, everything is provided.
- BYO food or refreshments you'd like to enjoy during our class.
- Please wear closed toe shoes (no thongs, no sandals that expose your toes.) Ideally please wear a t-shirt (or something that covers your shoulders.)
- You need to be able to climb the staircase at 550 Swan Street as it's the only way to get to my fabulous studio.

This venue is a short walk from Burnley station (500m). Car Parking: Car parks are easy to find around our studios, especially in the Child Care Centre next door and on Swan Street. Most of my workshops are on the weekends or outside 9-5 so parking is easy. Tram 70 stops a few metres from our front door.

Jenie Yolland's glass studio is a safe and creative place where you can learn about glass art. You don't need any expertise. Our classes are designed for the absolute beginner. You'll love being here. Its relaxing and fun being in this amazing space. You can create all sorts of things in my studio, from bespoke handmade glass plates, to giant Mondrian wall clocks, or abstract wall art! We run workshops for all ages. Come with your family and friends and create memories together. This is the place for making gifts with love this year. Of course, you'll be able to say, no-one else, anywhere, has one quite like it. You can say "I made this!"Come and play!
