What you'll do
Empower your kids to create art on the go as they learn how to use the Procreate app in this 10-week course with illustrator Ashley!This course is designed for children aged five to eight who have never used the Procreate app before. It allows kids to draw anywhere, from a couch to an aeroplane, and gives them the choice to undo mistakes or choose from a whole variety of colours, all with a simple press of a button. Plus, no clean up for parents too!In these fun and interactive online classes, kids will learn the basics of the Procreate app on the iPad and will work on a series of creative illustration projects.Some of the projects we'll be working on during the course include:
- Lifelike animal portraits
- Illustrated selfies
- Patterns and designs for clothing and other products
- Greeting cards
- Character development
- Your teacher Ashley is a proud neurodivergent (ADHD) and her classes are designed to be friendly and welcoming for children with ASD, ADHD and other neuro-differences. If you think Ashley needs to know anything about your child that will improve their experience, she wants to hear it!
- Microphones will be on mute for some of the class and in order to keep the vibes nice and calm, Ashley will ask students to unmute to ask questions and talk about their work.
- Kids are encouraged to keep their cameras on as it allows their teacher to help them with their work.
- All bookings are final. If you cancel or miss a class, refunds or credits cannot be offered.
- If your teacher becomes unwell or cannot teach the class for some reason, she will let you know via email as soon as possible and will run a catch-up class at an alternative time.
- Your teacher can offer high-quality printing services at an additional charge. If you would like work printed, please ask and we can figure out a price.

I am a passionate artist and illustrator from Melbourne, Australia.You may know my work. My illustration business Drawn by Ashley was thrown into the spotlight in 2020 by a very well-timed portrait I drew of Victoria’s Chief Health Officer Professor Brett Sutton which, when I put it on a line of homewares and apparel, went a little viral!This success gave me the confidence to pursue my art and illustration career further, and with my background in social work and group facilitation, it was only a matter of time until I began teaching what I know.The Drawn by Ashley School of Digital Art is a passion project of mine. I adore teaching and now offer courses and workshops to children and adults alike.Currently, all my courses are online, however, I will be adding an in-person format once the pandemic is a little more under control.
