After a 20-year career making TV commercials, I realised I had lost the love of what I was making.
And for a maker the love is everything!

It was time to find a new way to contribute to the world. I enrolled in a three year TAFE course, determined to become a qualified tradie. Fast forward ten years and now I run my own business making custom-made furniture and running BEGINNER woodworking classes. Join me for a short course in a small class, a one-on-one lesson, or a full weekend of making and discover the joy and connectedness that comes from the craft of woodworking!

This tool school class was excellent! Katie explained everything clearly and was happy to answer all our questions. We got a chance to try a large variety of tools and the small group size meant lots of time for hands on practice. Highly recommend.

It was good to be shown how to use each of the tools in a controlled environment and be able to ask questions. This allows you to be more confident when next using the tools
