Mikey and Leila were friendly, welcoming teachers full of enthusiasm and encouragement. Their instructions were clear and they had patience showing us how to do something if we didn't get it right. The provided morning tea and lunch was absolutely delicious! All in all the class exceeded my expectations. I would thoroughly recommend do this class!!

Where to even start? This was not just a class, but an experience! Small class size led to prime one-on-one instruction with the two extremely capable masters of their craft who not only guided us clearly through every step of the sour-dough making process but who also answered the thousand questions we students threw at them! This is not even mentioning the amazing scones and cheeseboard platter that was provided for snacks between teachings!

Initially I was hesitant, I couldn’t understand why it would take around six hours to ‘just make bread’, but I soon learned it was more than that! I was absolutely blown away by the whole day!

I had some quality and fun daughter-mum time, but I could easily see this work for a small and cute hens outing, or for couples to bond over a new skill… and bread! ️

Massive shout out to Laila and Michael, they both made this course and our time with them a dough-to-remember!!!

This workshop covered every stage of sourdough bread making, a great hands on experience. Michael and Leila were the perfect hosts treated us with sourdough scones for morning tea and a lavish lunch whilst waiting for our sourdough to proof. A goody bag to take home included our starter with ingredients to continue to feed it. Thoroughly enjoyed this class and would highly recommend to anyone interested in sourdough.

Leila and Mikey welcomed us into their beautiful home for half a day and we were treated to a really hands on, comprehensive experience but also to their all bells and whistles hospitality. We were treated to freshly baked scones and an amazing lunch platter. Our take home packs are full with all the gear to bake our our loafs and our mind full of passion and confidence to keep up the skills.

Learning to make sourdough was fun. The host couple were engaging. The venue was homely. Thoroughly enjoyed the delicious sourdough bread and scones.
