The class was great, we really enjoyed the chosen painting. Courtney was lovely and very patient, she stayed back almost an entire extra hour just to help us leave with a better finished painting. The studio and equipment were also good. We will definitely be returning for another class!

I enjoyed this class, however, if you want to interact with the teacher or other attendees, you may wish to seek a smaller class. This one was much like following a pre-recorded video. I still enjoyed it though!

Well placed location. Good use of space. Friendly staff and knowledgeable. Very accommodating for cancelled sessions. Sick teacher and no substitute meant we were rescheduled and that was awesome service.
Although class bento should provide loan venues too.

The class was fun due to people. Teacher needs far more structure for beginners. Basic lesson plan. Tell class what’s going to happen. Then do each step with demo & practice. Stop at each step. Then help individuals. Sum up. Teacher must analyze her own skills & communicate them to us

The venue was too small for such a big group even though we all managed to paint some ladies felt squashed in.
Thought it was just our party but others were added that's possibly why we were all squashed in .

Teacher was great, venue was great with heaps of parking and there was plenty of help on hand. The only thing I would add is to make it clearer that you should crop your photos as what you send is what you will paint - based on pictures on website I thought that they would be cropped to be a portrait. I would recommend a different space though - too crowded.
Also water should be provided (also no room to put nibbles)
And maybe a little bit more introduction to drawing instead of going straight into drawing the model and not knowing what to do.

We had a paint & sip class at home for my husband’s birthday, and it was great! Our teacher was fantastic, made us all feel comfortable. She arrived with everything we needed, so all I had to organise was chairs, tables and snacks. Would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to have fun at home with friends.

Our teacher David was a total legend. He really cared about The art we were creating, had very entertaining stories and stayed behind so we were able to leave with a piece of art we were proud to take home. Great value for money.
Location was hard to find but I understand it was because the premises was under construction.

I enjoyed the class and learnt new ways with watercolour including how to apply enhancements to really bring out the centrepiece.
However we didn't get to paint the seahorse which was a real draw card for me to participate in the class. Still plenty of time to practice, though.

We had so much fun! The teacher was amazing and so helpful, he really helped make the experience enjoyable and easy, aswell as the other staff. It's awesome doing it with my partner makes us realise how different we are and how different we see things. The facility was awesome a little crowded but the staff were organised enough to help seat everyone comfortably. We will definitely reccomend to friends and family.

We did the painting class for our end of year celebration. I must say what a great time everyone had. Some were worried about their ability to paint before but were soon feeling relaxed about what they could achieve. Our teacher Imagine was so friendly and relaxed. We had ample materials to do the job.
The dome room was a great space and there was plenty space to spread out, it was a hot day and the air con was very welcome.
They only thing I could say was a negative on the day was the stairs up to the room, but I know this is will change soon.

This class was fabulous. And fun. Carlie was great and made the class easy to understand and enjoyable. She gave clear and easy to follow instructions and we did a lot in just 2 hours. Carlie was also organised: She gave us some tips and techniques that we tried first and then we went on to paint the birds. I am a beginner and not a painter but I was so surprised at what I ended up with as I never thought I could do this. I would so love to do another class with Carlie and would recommend to others. A relaxed, fun class with plenty of time to explore and experiment with alcohol ink and other medium on different surfaces on your own. It would’ve been great if there’s a more structured segment in the beginning to include tips on colour mixing/techniques/composition/troubleshooting etc, but the teacher’s on hand throughout the class to answer any question and offer help. Also there’re lots of colours provided and the simple setup & straight-forward process make it easy to continue practising at home.

This class was very enjoyable but also quite intense. Painting like Vincent Van Gogh was all about letting go and that doesn't come easy in a world where we are controlled but our teacher was fabulous in keeping us focused on painting like the Master and brushing the paint onto the canvas in flowing strokes and freeing up any preconceived ideas.

I booked for 5 of us (1 sadly couldn't make it) and we had such fun! The teacher (Carlie) is lovely and exceptionally talented - very easy to follow her instructions and then do our own thing making our own artworks! We got to practise the techniques before getting started on the the actual artworks which was a great idea for newbies to watercolour - I didn't realise the paint is so vivid because previously 'watercolour' paintings I'd seen were always, well, watery and quite muted. The new venue (BAA, in Jindalee) is nice because they can have the class outside or inside, and it is handy to the highway and has parking. The cost of the class is reasonable and worthwhile!

I had another wonderful time at The Paint Bar's Watercolour Native Insects workshop. This one offered even more techniques to learn and try. Having the opportunity to practise the techniques before moving into the bee and the butterfly piece allows you to make mistakes during the practise and refine the techniques you've learned. Carlie is such an amazing teacher and she goes through everything step by step. In terms of my own watercolour painting journey, I'm finding that I'm getting better and more confident with each workshop I do. I am also able to use the techniques learnt in my own artworks. I'm looking forward to any new workshops run by Carlie in the future. I'll definitely be back!

Our team had a wonderful time learning how to paint the Wisteria at Twilight painting. For most of us, it was a brand new experience and we enjoyed it immensely. Our teacher, Nicole did a great job of demonstrating everything and giving individual guidance where needed. We learned a few new techniques such as blending colours and using cotton tips to create a different look as well. Nicole made it fun and interactive for us all and we had a blast. The venue was cosy and fun to work in and there was ample parking close by. We are looking forward to coming back soon to do another painting. Highly recommend this place for a great day/evening out.

The teacher gave great tips and it was a very fun class. I thought I remembered reading their would be champagne upon arrival but nevertheless, it was a great night. Although I’d like to make a recommendation that the teacher to check in on all the students in the class. We waited about an hour to get her attention and then another half hour for her to actually come to us to help. A member of our group didn’t get the chance for the teacher to come to her for advice. The teacher did go to some of the students a big handful of times so it would have been nice to spread out the time amongst all of the students.

Helen is passionate about what she is teaching and what she want us to learn from her. The venue is clean and bright, located on second floor above a printing company. All the materials were provided and she is willing the students to try her collections as well, which is amazing! Alcohol painting require lot of practices and time consuming, I love when we are able to try alcohol paint on different paper even tiles
What me and my daughter have learned from Helen is definitely worth the money we paid for.

Terrific night out with the girls enjoying some laughs and surprising ourselves with our finished artworks. None of us have any painting experience, to be honest the drinking of wine was the selling point, but we were all able to produce portraits of our pets we were proud of. The teacher was very friendly and helpful, we were so engrossed with our work we stayed 1hr past finish time but weren't made to feel rushed or like we had overstayed. Highly recommend.

Nicely set up paint & sip studio with good vibes. The teacher was friendly and started the class with a relaxed pace going through different techniques and gave us ample time to experiment the different effects which was enjoyable. But it was a bit rushed towards the end as we only had half an hour to do the second bird. So it would’ve been better if we could had an extra 30 minutes or so to finish our artworks. All in all it was a fun night.

Such a fun way to spend a Saturday night! It taught me so many new skills and the teacher was so lovely and helpful. The only thing that could be improved would be timing. We didn’t get to finish either bird completely which is a bit daunting for beginners to finish by themselves. All in all though, would definitely do another class!

Have been looking forward to doing one of these classes for a while. Friendly. Great atmosphere. Was a bit rushed though and for $59 i would have rathered leave with one complete art piece instead of two unfinished rushed pieces that ill do nothing with. I think an extra half hr should be added if doing two pieces. Or perhaps you should consider beginner/ intermediate classes. Also when watching the screen the demo looked like dark/heavy amount of colour being used but actually wasnt. So therefore i went heavy going by what i was seeing on screen.

My daughter really enjoyed this workshop. Tips about using colour wheel really helped, as did sample page to warm up. She did have some trouble keeping up with the bird sections though, so more time for her to paint after each instruction/bird section would have helped. Maybe less time on sample page would provide this? Other than that, great workshop! Thank you ☺️

I found as a newbee, the teacher was good but i found i was getting a little behind. The time seemed to pass quite quickly. But my daughter's did better i tjink because they are a bit more experienced. Venue was good. Maybe an option of an extra colour or two. I did notice different pictures that were painted on the walls but weren't offered.

I enjoyed this class very much because it wasn't strictly instructed like others where you're told exactly which line to paint where - it allowed us to make the artwork our own. The teacher was great and helped my friend fix a mistake which turned her painting around from potential disaster! Thanks again for the class. I found the teacher was wonderful, very excited to share what to be done. The delivery was unclear as I found myself not being able to keep up with the stages. Perhaps to first doodles could have been to create colours for the seagulls. I think what could help is if the teacher sees a need to assist in personal improvements she could ask the participants if she can give a tip. I liked her acknowledgement but more so when she gave me pointers. I noticed my daughter shred away to ask for assistance.
There is ample supplies of paint & materials & I was shocked to see some waist. Thank you Dylan for your generosity. Overall this class was good. I personally achieved something I wouldn’t have done on my own. Thank you.

The only negatives were I felt rushed at the end probably because a couple of people arrived late so the teacher had to repeat herself at the beginning. My paint rag (face cloth) was wet and dirty before I even started.

Lovely class. I learned a lot.
The only tiny thing I think would be important for next time is to make sure instructions are given in the correct order. For example, if gaps need to be left between brush strokes on a particular flower, certain number of petals per row etc, that it is mentioned before they get us to start making those brush strokes, so we can ensure the correct technique.

All materials supplied, and our teacher (Nicole) explained everything really well and was available to assist if required. There was also no rush in finishing our work. A very relaxed atmosphere! I had so much fun doing the watercolour birds class with Carlie. I really loved how we got to learn and try techniques to use at the start of the session. The birds were beautiful and you were guided in the process, although I had expected it to be a bit less structured than this. It does set you up to try on your own in the future. Thankyou

Carlie was a great tutor! She was lively and explained things really clearly. We loved starting with the sample techniques; it helped get us ready to paint as well as showing us some new techniques. For us, the second bird was a rush as we hadn't traced it onto our paper and then got so far behind 2 out of the 3 of us didn't do it (we'll watch the recording and do it at home, though). We also commented that we'd love to have had a clearer example of the end result to work from. Very enjoyable class and we were all happy with our first birds. Thanks, Carlie!

My daughter Lucinda did the course together! Was her First Mother’s Day present to her. I was surprised how much we achieved in 2 hours . Great clear instructions. Would have liked if the instructor could have zoomed in but know not possible. I made my gumnut picture into a birthday card for my son in law. He wants to frame it ( I said not that good)! Not so pleased with banksia , wrong shape and too much paint. Have not used water colour for a long time. Will be trying again! Thanks to the team. Could only submit one photo?

We got to ask questions and I loved the background story to the inspiration behind the painting. The kit that was sent was also very generous with an extra canvas. It was a really lovely painting to do, a variety or colours and shapes. Doing the class via Zoom was interesting and at times was difficult to keep up with the teacher. I was so glad to be able to do this class online after the initial class was cancelled due to COVID restrictions. It was a lovely, relaxing afternoon and all the instructions were stepped through very clearly so it was easy to follow along - even for someone who'd never used watercolours before. Zoom worked well to see and hear the instructor, who was very lovely and informative! I think being online I did miss out on interacting with the others in the class but it was still a very enjoyable experience. The kit is fantastic quality and I'm looking forward to using what I learnt to create more beautiful birds!

Was a great activity to keep occupied. My art skills are at the level of a 5 year but still had fun attempting to paint quite a sophisticated piece.

It's definitely going up on the wall, despite my painting having a purple sky (good old colour blindness. =)

Venue was fantastic. Lots of room although, 4 to a table would have been enough as it was a little squishy. The class I attended was full so there were 3 people on one side and 2 on the other.
Well done to the afternoon tea. I was expecting scones/jam and cream and when I walked in there were delightful sandwiches, brownies and much more. The afternoon tea was fresh and I highly recommend having more of these occasions more often. Ie. Mothers day

Great teacher, loved her style of teaching. Fantastic music taste as well. I've not done any painting since high school but I found it entertaining, and enjoyed the atmosphere. The painting was relatively forgiving as the colours all melded together at some point. I did struggle to keep up sometimes and wish there was even just half an hour longer to do the final touches, but I understand that's difficult to accommodate. The value for what you got out of it was amazing - all supplies needed were provided and at the end of the night you got a unique painting of your own to take home. Will definitely do this again. I enjoyed the night. Venue and set up was great. Was great value for money. The teacher was ok, but sometimes actually painted on my canvas when I wasn’t wanting her to.
I think the teacher sometimes, showed too many examples at once instead of letting us replicate in steps so we could remember and try it ourselves. But overall enjoyed and was happy with outcome.

The walk in the park class was more fun than I expected, our teacher made each step easy and simple to follow resulting in a nice painting even from someone like me who can't paint! On Saturday Night my Daughter and I attended the Paint and Sip Class. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our art boards with our sketches waiting. I enjoyed the class. The teacher was friendly and very helpful and made the class relaxing and fun. The venue was great! Lots of cold water with glasses provided for drinking. Air conditioned room and away from noise and distractions. Great value for money as cheaper than a lot of other paint and sip classes in Brisbane. Lots of parking available but you have to be willing to drive out there as it is not central but I didn't mind.

This life drawing class was quite an enjoyable evening. We experienced drawing a male model who was professional and very relaxed. Our teacher Cassandra was helpful, a great communicator and encouraging to all participants. It was also a great experience to watch Cassandra create her own charcoal life drawings. For a 3-hour class, all materials, an art tutor and a live model I think this is good value :)

I have been previously to a class and thought it was wonderful hence why I went back however this time the teacher wasn’t helpful or approachable. I didn’t enjoy this class and if it was the same teacher I wouldn’t return. There are plenty of other studios to go to instead of this one. I think people skills in terms of teaching is not a strong point.

What a wonderful experience! Our teacher was amazing doing at the perfect pace and demonstrated clearly what we were drawing. Drawing the iconic bridge was harder than an expected and even making lots of messy mistakes myself, our teacher gave us lots of ideas and strategies to thin out lines and correct any messy bits! The end product was so impressive and there was lot a boring moment.

Great intro class into watercolour painting. Carlie is very knowledgable and helpful. Having sample artwork to see her technique on really helped to visualise the potential end results. Having all the materials and paint supplied was excellent, and doing a practice piece of each of the 4 techniques first was a good idea. I'll definitely be doing more painting at home now!

I took my first date to this class and painted an alternate version of "The Chair" by Van Gogh. Our class had 4 people in total so it was nice, quiet and intimate. Dom was our teacher and he was the coolest dude ever. Very friendly, funny and helpful. The art materials provided were Of high quality and the location was easy to find. The teacher was absolutely fantastic! She was easy to follow in instructions and also with creating a friendly environment for everyone.
The venue is suitable and enough room on your station to sit or stand comfortably to paint!
The materials provided were all ready and more available as needed. We came in a little late but as everything was already prepared for us we were able to join the class quickly.
Amazing value for money and as it goes for 3 hours you have enough time to create a masterpiece but also not feel so rushed.
I will definitely be back here as it’s lovely environment with great teachers and fantastic things to paint. A must do in Brisbane

Fun night out. Cozy studio and good materials provided. Would of liked a bigger table so you could grab supplies without feeling like you were going to knock over things. Address is a little tricky, as it is located on a corner and the driveway is actually on the other street. Was a little tricky to find at dusk.

Our 4 hour Botanical Masterclass was so much fun! Neither my partner or I had any experience painting and were not sure what to expect. Kate was very friendly and personable; She took time to deliver the class with consideration to each person's skill level, and assisted them in acquiring their desired outcome. The venue was comfortable and the team created a great atmosphere for the experience.
There was a selection of quality products to create and experiment with. The price for this class and the inclusions was ideal and reasonable - I'd definitely recommend!

All the parents were surprised with how good the paintings turned out. The girls had a great time and the venue was very helpful with organising a space for food and cake. Would recommend to anyone.

The teacher has been a school teacher and it shows, she explains everything clearly and is encouraging at all times.
This is the second class I've been to at this location and I've always been happy with it. Everything is provided and is good quality.
Having been before, I came prepared with some cheese and crackers to have with a drink, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.

The teacher was great although because of class sizes I never really got a chance to get her help as there was so many of us she never got around to everyone. A shame because I was so looking forward to attending this class and having a chat to the teacher. The class was packed full of way too many people for such a tiny space! You literally cannot walk to your bag at the back of the room, we were literally all elbow to elbow. It says on the website for other people not to bring snacks etc especially if it's going to interfere with the space of others. Well, many of the other women who attended brought lots of big containers of food that they put on the table rudely almost knocking my canvas off twice! The teacher and paint bar took photos from our class during the session and said we would get copies sent to our email addresses at the end of class but I didn't receive anything. I contacted the paint bar directly about this and got no help or reply. I have attended a few paint classes now and this one was by far the most underwhelming and unenjoyable I have attended. I should also mention that my review in no way reflects a problem with the teacher, she was great! More the space and others that affected my experience. But because of this experience I wouldn't attend this space for classes again.

Three hours of great fun. I have NEVER painted before, but will definitely be back. Our instructor was helpful, encouraging and easy to follow. There were a great variety of paint colour choices and brushes to choose from. I mostly went for fun with friends and was most surprised that I walked out with my own creation that I really like and plan to hang on the wall!

Our instructor and her assistant were both very helpful and encouraging. The class was lots of fun and we were really surprised with how good our paintings came together. My only criticism is that although the venue is good the class is held upstairs and it is difficult for people with mobility issues. I didn’t realise this until I arrived. Maybe that should be clearer in the advertising.

This was my first time painting after really long time. The experience has been amazing in every aspect. The teacher was really helpful and good in explaining how to perform the painting. Our teacher was wonderful. Not only did she do a wonderful job of instructing us but she went further offering us ideas ono how to use our designs too. Really lovely lady and wonderful to speak too. A very happy and relaxed atmosphere.

The room as good. The temperature was a little cold at the beginning but as "bodies" arrived it warmed up and was a good temperature. Slightly more room would have been great. We were a little cramped on the tables at times with the size of paper we were using and the inks everywhere. Also in setting the pieces aside to dry it was a little lacking in space here too.

I was a little rushed at the end and failed to complete the final items as I would have wanted too. My fault, but, giving a time progress by the teacher as the class went on might have been helpful. For example, at the one hour and two hour marks the teacher could have advised that we be at a certain stage and thus helping us to keep on track. A small thing and not exclusive to this class, just a suggestion for all classes in general.

Had another wonderful night exploring my creative side. Alcohol inks are a whole lot of fun and have a delightfully unpredictable quality. Belinda was an amazing teacher - very encouraging and great at trouble shooting colours (huge thanks to her awesome assistant (Tamara? - I'm awful at remembering names sorry!) in class for always hunting down colours for us).
I also really appreciate the supplies list that Belinda had because now it's super easy to find what I need if I want to try it on my own.

I loved the class! It was a great way to unwind and have a good time with friends.
The teacher was amazing and gave easy to follow advice that really worked. The music was perfect (a bit of upbeat and a bit of mellow), the room was spacious and bright and the equipment was quality.
I’d highly recommend this class for individuals or groups wanting to explore their arty side while having a fun time!

OK so this was one of the most fun experiences I've done in a long time! I live on the border of gc and brissy and so this was a pretty long away from where I live I'd still do it again in a heart beat, well worth he drive, well worth the money too! Thoroughly enjoyed myself!

The teacher was great, she seemed super artsy and was really good at directing us on how to achieve the painting we did, whilst also encouraging each of us along the way.

The Paint Bar supplied all the suppliesb canvas, paint, brushes, etc.

Have I mentioned I had so much fun? Lol. Seriously I can't wait to go back
