What you'll do
In this easy basket weaving course for beginners in Sydney, you will make a unique woven basket. Use your handmade basket to treasure small objects or as a beautiful addition to your home.You'll be working with rope, yarn, twine, raffia and colourful recycled materials such as plastic bags and fabric to learn basic weaving techniques and create your own woven vessel. Weaving is a simple but intricate craft with infinite possibilities!Classes are beginner-friendly and led by your teacher, Cecilia Kwok, who will guide you through the process so you feel confident and happy with your result.Cecilia is a designer, maker, and food enthusiast. Drawing inspiration from daily life, she enjoys experimenting with colours and textures. As an interior designer, she has a keen eye for detail and loves to share her passion for handmade crafts.
