What you'll do
Learn how to cast in fast curing resin and how to embed items in clear resin to create unique pieces in this Sydney workshop.During this workshop, you will be taken step by step through how to make a mould of one of your favourite bangles and rings, or another appropriate piece, or use one of Own Sweet Time’s designs. This mould will be able to be used again and again to create further pieces at home.While the mould is curing, you will learn the art of resin casting, using Own Sweet Time’s silicone moulds to cast a bangle and a ring, in the colour of their choice. A second casting will then be done in the newly created moulds, learning more creative casting techniques.Using slow curing resin allows you to discover more creative casting techniques, including embedding objects and using fillers, as well as learning how to manipulate the resin for interesting results.We will cover hand-sanding techniques, so the pieces will be finished to the highest standards.
