This course will involve a deep dive into the structure of joke writing, your unique style of humour, and how you can grow your stage presence.
Through this course, you'll gain the tools to perform stand-up comedy and will write a small set.
Topics- Joke-writing fundamentals
- Types of jokes and humour
- Timing for maximum comedic effect
- Body language, vocals, eye contact, posture
- How to handle nerves and remember what to say
- Handling disruption and mastering crowdwork
- Tips for thinking quickly on your feet
Duration- This 5-hour course is held over two consecutive Thursdays. I.e., the Thursday listed in this booking and the very next Thursday.
