What you'll do
The workshop facilitator is Jill Brailsford:After 4 years of Art and Design College, I started out in children’s book illustration, then on to painting stained glass church windows. I went back to University to study for a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. I have painted large works in oil and have built a business selling cards and prints, using my illustrations. I make small painted glass panels using painting and firing techniques used in the 12th century. I like to try new things. I have many different styles of artwork, which echo all the different types of images I am influenced by. Currently, I am teaching classes at several places in Melbourne.Participants will learn how to apply the paint and draw and shade the design to create a beautiful fantasy land. Be inspired by images already created or make up your own.
- Draw and paint a magical landscape using watercolour or inks.
- Overlay with an intricate landscape design in pencil.
