Join illustrator Jill Brailsford for a fun exploration painting and illustrating pages using inks and paint, pencil and pigments on paper.Make a zigzag folding art book to record and showcase your panels of work - add further adornments using collage techniques.All materials supplied, guidance on folding and finishing booklet.About JillAfter 4 years of Art and Design College, I started out in children’s book illustration, then moved on to painting stained glass church windows. I went back to University to study for a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. I have painted large works in oil and have built a business selling cards and prints, using my illustrations. I make small painted glass panels using painting and firing techniques used in the 12th century. I like to try new things. I have many different styles of artwork, which echo all the different types of images I am influenced by. Currently, I am teaching classes at several places in Melbourne.A smaller group allows us to connect with our practise and meet others. You will have lots of time to focus on your work and finalise your pieces in 5 hours. This informal approach guides you to find your style and confidence in painting with less head and more feeling in your work. There is no formal lunch break, so bring your food to graze as we work. Amenities are here including a kettle and microwave, and good coffee shops in the village, just steps away if you need to get lunch.
