Are you scared of drawing? Do you like to draw but want to loosen up your line work?
In this 2-hour workshop, you will create exciting visual imagery using a variety of drawing and sketching techniques using ink, mark making, watercolour, and expressive line work.
You'll spend a relaxing couple of hours drawing objects from our studio's extensive Natural History collection - we have a huge variety of seed pods, leaves, sea shells, pinned insects, banksia cones, and more.
Your tutor Sandra will guide you through a series of drawing exercises designed to disrupt traditional approaches and empower you to think differently about drawing.
During the session, you will:
  • learn to draw without relying on pencils and erasers
  • try using sticks, feathers, and other non-traditional tools
  • move towards subjective responses not realistic representations
  • engage in expressive mark making and playfulness that will bring out your personality in your art
